Open Circle Content Guidelines
Your books and other content (such as book titles, cover art and product descriptions) must adhere to these content guidelines. We reserve the right to make judgments about whether content is appropriate and reserve the sole right to choose not to publish it. We may also terminate the services we provide to you if we find at any time that you are contravening our content guidelines.
While this is a subjective matter, our guideline is based on what we currently consider reasonable in the light of the genre and intended readership. If you find your own work offensive, we probably will as well.
Examples of Offensive Content:
- The promotion of hatred against individuals or groups, on the basis of race, ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation.
- Pornography – Any explicit content with the sole purpose of intending to arouse.
- Rape/non-consensual sex – Glorification of an illegal act.
Illegal and Infringing Content
We take violations of laws and proprietary rights very seriously. It is your responsibility to ensure that your content doesn’t violate laws or copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights. Just because content is freely available does not mean you are free to copy and sell it.
If you want us to publish your book, make sure you wrote it and you own the rights to it.
